Arab League condemns Israeli police for desecrating Quran, attack in Al-Aqsa Mosque

On Sunday 3rd March, the Arab League strongly condemned the incident of an Israeli officer kicking the Quran and assaulting several women who were in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Assistant Secretary-General of Arab League Ambassador Mohamed Sobeih told WAFA reporters that what happened is not directed to the people of Jerusalem or the Palestinian people alone, but a message to the Arab and Islamic nations as well, stressing that there is a need for a unified and firm stance of the Arab and Islamic nation against the attacks and the situation in Jerusalem.
An Israeli police officer assaulted earlier on Sunday a number of Palestinian women inside Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque of Jerusalem, after desecrating a Holy Quran book by kicking it to the ground, in attempt to end their circle-reading session.
