Four people were injured in the Israeli airstrike that hit the National Islamic Bank in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.
The latest round of airstrikes and shelling was preceded by a lull of about an hour and a half, before Israeli naval ships off the Gazan coast began to fire their shells and Israeli F-16 fighter jets began attacking sites once more.
Meanwhile, according to The Jerusalem Post, the IDF struck some 100 targets in the Gaza Strip overnight and rockets fired from the coastal territory continued to set of red alert sirens in communities across the South as Israel’s security cabinet met to discuss the latest cease-fire initiatives.
According to the IDF Spokesman’s Office, underground rocket launching sites, weapons-smuggling tunnels and munitions warehouses were targeted in the strikes.
